Identity Documents

Minimum identity documents required

You must provide three documents to confirm your identity. Validex will use these documents to verify your identity with the Personal Information you provided. The Personal Information contained in your identity documents will be used to conduct a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (police check).

The documentation you provide must include evidence of your full legal name, date of birth and a photograph of you. Most people use a Passport, Drivers's Licence, and Medicare Card but other options are available.

Australian passport

Current Australian passport, including Ordinary, Frequent traveler, Diplomatic, Official and Emergency.

Australian birth certificate

Australian birth certificate or authorised record of birth (not an extract or birth card).

Australian Citizenship Certificate

Australian citizenship certificate issued in the Individual's name or former name by the Department of Home Affairs.

Australian visa

Australian visa (supported by a foreign passport, which is needed for verification).

Immi Card

Immi Card issued by the Department of Home Affairs.

Australian passport

Current Australian passport, including Ordinary, Frequent traveler, Diplomatic, Official and Emergency.

Australian driver's licence

Australian driver’s licence, learner permit or provisional licence issued by a State or Territory, showing signature and/or photo.

Immi Card

Immi Card issued by the Department of Home Affairs.

Foreign passport

Foreign passport issued by a country other than Australia with a valid visa or valid entry stamp or equivalent.

Proof of age or photo identity card

Proof of age or photo identity card issued by an Australian government agency which shows the name, date of birth, photo and signature of the individual.

Australian driver's licence

Australian driver’s licence, learner permit or provisional licence issued by a State or Territory, showing signature and/or photo.

Medicare card

Medicare card issued by Services Australia.

Australian Aviation security ID card

Australian Aviation security identification card.

Australian Maritime security ID card

Australian Maritime security identification card.

Australian Firearms licence

Australian Firearms licence

Government benefit or Centrelink
